Where is located the torque converter cluth solenoid in a 2001 vw jetta 2.0? Its O.K if I do it myself?

I would recommend a shop. First, how do you know it is bad? Did you do all the proper diag before comit to this conclusion? If it is a code, a code never identifies a bad part, just a failed system.

Make sure it is bad before proceeding.
