My instrument cluster does not work! Well everything works except the gauges! for example my fuel gauge doest work but when im running low on gas the gas lights up so i know im low in gas! or my temperature gauge doesnt work either but if my car get to hot the temperature lights up! the signals lights work! Everything works except the Speedometer gas temp and Tach gauges! please help VW is charging me 1000 dollars for repair I think is way way to much they look shady but thats like the nearest VW dealer and its about 30 mins from where I live!

1000 dollars... did they say what that covers (parts & labor)? What was their diagnosis?
