2001 Volkswagen Jetta Door locks

I am unable to unlock the driver side door from the outside with my car key. The rear doors and the cargo door will open but the driver door remains locked. Can you give me some advice on this?

The linkage may have fallen off the cylinder. Will the door open from the inside using the inside locking button. If u can get the door open u can remove the door panel off and reconnect the linkage. If u can't open the door u will need to buy a slim jim and unlock it.

You need a door latch. Very common issue.
