I have a squishy noise coming from the rear passenger side of my car. Do not know if it's shocks, struts, or something else.

Chances are it is a strut. Have a helper bounce the vehicle while you check to see where the noise is coming from.

Most likely the axle bushings. VW has an updated part now. It's classified as a "1 piece" bushing now.The older bushings were 2 piece bushings, which always, always, fail.
