I removed the dash covers and pulled the electrical plug off the back of the ignition switch. Now all that is left is a phillips head screw holding the switch but I cannot get access to it. I can see it . Do I have to take off the air bag, steering wheel, switches, etc., just to get that screw out?

You can get right angled screw drivers, this may give you a better shot at getting that screw out, if you can see it you may have better luck trying a right angled screw driver. I have added a pic od a typical right angled screw driver so you know what to look for, the come in various sizes and are very handy addition to your tool box.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have every shape and size but no right angle screwdriver. I'll get some.
