2001 Volkswagen Cabriolet Driving Car About 65 Started Sputter Bit Shut Off

I was driving my car and i was going about 65.. then it started to sputter a bit then shut off.. i tried to restart it and it was trying to fire up but wouldnt. I left it for 2 days and it started right up. So i drove it. Then a month later it did the same thing. started up the next day. Now this morning it did it on my way to work.. I was going about 35 it started to sputter a bit then just shut off. this time i tried to start it a few times and it wouldnt start then i tried 10 minutes later and it started up. what could be the problem here???

Fuel pump relay or fuel pump?

Could even be Ignition related.

Check for stored fault codes the next time it happens.
