2001 Vauxhall Astra Hi Yesterday Brakes Locked On Whilst Driving Recovery

Hi
Yesterday my brakes locked on whilst I was driving, the recovery driver told me to take them apart and give them a clean, which I did.

Now however when I brake the pedal goes right down to the floor and it take an age to stop the vehicle

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Did you remove the brake hoses? If so, did you bleed the system? If not, do that first. If the brake still goes to the floor, check to make sure there are no leaks. If there are none and the brakes are properly bled, chances are the master cylinder is bad.
