why my Toyota truck engine dies when I turn on the left turning signal?

It is a 4X4, 4 cylinder, manual transmission, no power options, no cruise control, everything as simple as in the old days.
It has been the most reliable vehicle so far
Only problem I ever had was last Fall squirrels messed with the lights wiring cables, which disabled the lights in general. The damaged was repaired, and the truck kept working well, till now.

You would need to check for a shorting between the signal lights and ignition.
