2001 Toyota Sienna P0420 Original ECM Junkyard Pick N Pull Would Used ECM One

I have P0420, and the original ECM.

If I were to go to a junkyard or Pick n Pull, how would I know if the used ecm was one of the ones with the updated ones with a good program?

never use a used pcm as it is flashed to another vehicle and will come up with a vin mismatch and all kinds of issues.

420 is a failed cat and needs to be replaced. not the pcm
