i have a Toyota sienna with 17500 mileage which i just bought from the us,working well without problems,until i took the car to car wash for engine cleaning,after that,the car starts developed problem in selecting gears,the engine gets so loud before it get s into the next gear,which normally you wouldn't even know when it gets into the next gear when driving,you even gets some smell,could it be that water has gotten into some parts of the engine

could have got into electrical connections.

is the check engine light on??
