Got a Camry V6, 2001, and am changing timing belt. I am having trouble removing crank pulley. It wont slide off and there is little room to put pry bars. How do I go about removing this pulley?

DO not use pry bars, Yu can damage the pulley.

Spray some rust penetrant in between the gaps of the pulley and crank shaft and softly tap te pulley with a plastic mallet.

Around the cantral bolt, there are 2 holes which you can use with a puller to pull the pully out.

I got the pulley off. I borrowed 2 types of pullers from a local mechanic. I ended up using the jaw puller, which took 2 small pieces of metal off the outer pulley. The mechanic said that would not matter. Due to the chassis interfering with both pullers, the jaw type worked best. No amount of tapping with a mallet would have worked. There was no way to get behind the pulley properly to do this. Thanks for the reply.
