New ignition installation

My vehicle was stolen they popped the ignition it is just a big hole I put a screwdriver in side and I got it to turn on. Can I just buy a new ignition and put it on or call a locksmith help?

This is a big job and the car will need to be reprograms with to the new key, pretty much a dealer or a shop they can handle this kind of repair. Please let me know what happens
