Recently the car won't hold it's idle. The Chk Eng code that came up was P0505. The problem is intermittent and usually after the car has warmed up.
When disconnecting the IAC connector the idle falls to 500 rpm. After reconnecting the IAC connector the idle returns to normal. One would assume that the IAC is functioning properly right? Anyway I've taken the IAC off and cleaned it out with the thought it may be sticking. It was pretty dirty.
Are there any other things I should look at that would cause the above code to happen intermittently?
