2001 Seat Ibiza Battery Died T Get Bonnet Open Tried Boiling Hot Water

the battery has died,but i can't get the bonnet to open.have tried boiling hot water and de-icer smacking it with my fist but nothing.

have someone hold hte cable to open then smack with flat of hand that may do it. then when hood is open lube the hood release as well as cable if you can. we have no info for these cars
