How much to have the water pump replaced with one with lifetime guarantee? Antifreeze and water are leaking from the area pump is located. No leaks anywhere else. Can drive it, but need to put water in when it begins to overheat. Heater is not working.

We don't get involved with costs here because there's way too many variables. Hourly shop rates can vary a lot. I found water pumps for your engine size from $31.00 to $135.00. Be aware too that if your mechanic can find one with a lifetime warranty, that only covers the part, not the labor, and you will be required to use the same manufacturer's part if replacement is needed again. That won't do you any good if you're out of town and no auto parts store in the area handles that brand.
