I was drivin down the highway at 45mph and I heard a loud bang. I just thought it was just a rock so I continued home, which was only another mile. When I got home I noticed either transmission or oil leaking at a high rate out of the bottom. I have the tools to fix it myself so I would rather not take it to the garage if I don't have to. Any ideas in the problem. It is a standard so I couldn't really tell the difference between oil and transmission fluid.

The manual transmissions in those cars use transmission fluid in them. But when the fluid never gets changed which most people dont change it it turns really black. You need to tell me whats leaking the transmission or engine?I cant see it iam not there.
