What can cause a 2001 Saturn SC2 to suddenly Idle at 3000RPM?

Car idled ok and on next startup idle went to 3000RPM

throttle body hung up, accelerator cable binding or a vacuum leak

Just to add to this one the two places i would check first is the hose going to the pcv in the valve cover and the hose going to the brake booster.For vaccuum leaks also is he check engine light on?
