2001 Saturn L300 smells of gas

It smells like a gas leak. No losing gas nor does it seem to be using a lot. Can not find a leak. When I put gas in it, it doesn't want to crank. Only does this when I put gas in it. What is causing this?

You will have to get it inspected carefully. It may have a leak on top of the tank.
