I just had my serpentine belt replaced on my car a few months ago and now it won't start. I've been told now the timing belt has broken I would like to know if these two things are related? Would this prevent the car from being drivable?

There isn't anything related to replacing the serpentine belt and and a broken timing belt. The belt you had changed drives your alternator power steering pump etc.The timing belt runs your cams water pump etc.If the timing belt is broken it will not run.
