Oil leaking from above the oil pan and covering the pan and looks like it's all over the starter might need pan gasket but it looks like it's coming from higher up on the engine

When diagnosing oil leaks you always have to look fr and start with the highest point that you see oil. Most of the time it's going to be the valve covers leaking the most. Repair that, clean the engine a watch for other leaks.
