As per temp sensor location for your 2001, it is located on the driver side near to the back lower section, same place where the upper water hose connect to the thermostat housing looking in that spot u will see it under the hose screwed into the head, if u have the old type it should look light blue in colour & if u have to newer type it will look gray in colour , by the way what issues are u having. Good luck.

The problem I'm having with the 2001 Saab 93 is strange, the temperature gauge would read low and at times read nothing. When I put on the A/C it would not blow cold air and then finally the dreaded Engine light came on. All fluid levels were fine but a check at Auto Zone showed a faulty water temperature sensor. I bought the sensor but before I could replace it, the gauge started working, along with the A/C and the Engine light cleared. I still have the new sensor and the problem started again so I will be replacing the sensor.
