I was told my car is stuck in 3rd gear. When I pull off the rpm runs high and moves slow until I hit 35-45 mph. Then it kicks in. The blown cig lighter fuse was changed and the car shifted just fine. But only for one day. Now it's doing it again. The cig fuse is still good. What's going on? Costs?

I don't mean to be a pain, but were the places that checked it able to actually test for trans codes? Many of the places only check for engine codes, especially if it was a parts store.

The two places I went were transmissions body shops. I went to a third place yesterday and it ended up being a bad throttle sensor. Works just fine now. Thanks for your time

That can do it. I'm surprised the check engine light didn't come on. Regardless, I'm glad it's fixed. Let us know if you have questions in the future.
