I just bought my 2001 pontiac bonneville in a private sale. And the person I bought it from did not have a remote for keyless entry and did not know if the car even had a receiver module installed. What I want to know is did the se modal come with a keyless module installed or was it an optional thing. And if it did come standard where would the receiver module be located in this car.

The keyless entry would go thru your body control module which I know that car has so it should have keyless entry. The remote would have to be programmed with a factory scan the dealer has or a independent shop that has one or another scan tool able to program it.

Yep, this car does have an alarm and a keyless entry module. You can get a new remove fob and program it to the car from amazon. Here it is for $24
