First, you have a 3.4 engine, not a 3.0.
The one is the side of the block just requires a 10mm wrench and some skinny arms to get it out as long as it doesn't break in the process. Then you would be in trouble.
The one on the front of the engine, yes, you do have to remove the balancer and that will require a special puller. You will also need a professional scan tool when finished to perform the Crankshaft relearn procedure.
