car wont start

my car will not start. when i turn the key nothing happens, after i take the key out of the ignition it starts making a clicking sounds but still wont start. what could be wrong with my car?

Check and test the starter relay, starter motor and ignition switch-double check the battery and connections

I would start by having your battery tested also make sure your battery cables are clean and tight.After you do that let me know what you find on this posted question.Also let me know if you have a multimeter or test light.
