3.5L. After driving a few miles especially on the highway, the car begins to idle very high, up to 3k rpm if put in neutral or park. If I turn the car off and restart in goes back to normal. I do not hear any vacuum leaks, fuses are ok, new pcv valve. The rpm go even higher if I turn the ac off. No codes/check engine light.

Any ideas ?

You cant always hear vacuum leaks when its idling high if you block off the throttle body and it dies you know the idle air control valve is causing the idle.
