camshaft position sensor

I have a 2001 Nissan Xterra v6. my code reader says I'm haveing issues with my camshaft position sensor. I cant seem to find it. my chilton manual says it's located on the timing chain cover but I'm not seeing it. Any help you can give would be great.

code never identifies a bad part, just a failed system
