I changed the coolant in the cooling system now I find the the malfunction light comes on the dash and remains on it is indicating a engine control malfunction . when I rev the engine seems to be missing and the engine power is reduced but the car can be driven .The owners manual states this problem can cause engine control system damage I am at a loss can you advise.

A miss fire can be caused a a number id things, this can be narrowed down with a scan, there will be a fault code in the ECU (check light on) i would also get the basic tune items checked as well, start here.
