My 2001 Nissan Maxima has a steering problem. No clanking , rubbing noises at all. When traveling at a speed under 40-50 mph and I accelerate the wheels pull to the right for just a fraction of a second then return to normal by moving back to the left. Fluid is OK and the problem does not happen if you are driving over 40-50 mph. Not a problem when decelarating. It is not an intermitten problem. It happens every time you accelerate when driving less than 40 mph. 150,000 + miles on the car.

have your front suspension/steering parts checked for wear/play. you can try grabbing tire when parked and trying too wobble it sideways and from top in and out. any play/clunk felt is sign of worn part.
