Amazon claims that front strut assemblies from FCS (part # 1331596) are compatible with a 2001 Maxima. The FCS website identifies another part # for a 2001 Maxima and says part # 1331596 is for 2002 - 2003 models. Will there be a compatiblity issue if I use a part intended for a 2002 -2003 model on my 2001 Maxima?

I would recommend following the information directly from the FCS website. You may want to call them before you make a purchase.

I've already done that without a response. The struts were purchased before I went to the FCS website. I need to know if I should return the struts before I take the wheels off.
