2001 Nissan Altima Car Seems Run Hot According Temp Gauge After 10 Mile Drive

the car seems to run hot not according to the temp gauge but after a 10 mile drive or so i turn the car off and the fans will run for a few seconds then i will lift the hood and the motor seems very hot to the touch and can smell a little antifreeze smell but it dosent appear to be low or leaking other than that the car seems to run great twincam 16valve is this anything i should be concered with
