2001 Mitsubishi Montero Just Replaced Lifters Started Engine Still Hearing

just replaced all lifters then started engine. still hearing ticking but not as loud . yes new oil yes torqued to specs. noise gets quieter @ around 2500 rpm i did notice on some of the new hydrolic lifters that sme of them you could compress with your thumb and others would not . any ideas what the problem may be?

You will have to let them bleed out, this should not take long, it is often a good idea to sit them in oil for a few hrs prior to installing to help with this.
