Check engine light

My check engine light came on and my car wont drive above 20 mph. Any ideas if this is transmission or timing chain or ???

You have an engine management system problem that caused the light to come-Have it scanned for code/s

I recommend have it towed to prevent more problems-But if you gonna chance it go for it-

Gear light flashes between drive and neutral when in drive and car won't move so towing is our only option now. Guess we're heading for a new transmission---ouch! Thank you, again.
