2001 Mitsubishi Adventure Already Replaced Fuel Pump Electrical Connection Above

I already replaced my fuel pump but the electrical connection above the tank pump assembly where the socket is located still overheat. Do you think i also have a problem with relays?

check for a bad ground for pump. it's behind left seat on a diamante we dont' have one for adventure so look there.
