2001 Mercury Sable fuel injection

2001 MERCURY SABLE
166,540 MILES • V6 • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

The car will turn over (crank once or twice) then it putts and cut off. Battery and alternaor is fine, has fluids... I'm thinking it's something with the fuel injection system but not the actual fuel pump. What could be my options for the problem?

try resetting security system if no manual look online. if it continues then scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge
