2001 Mercury Marquis power loss

My car shuts off within 3 miles, the speedometer, lights, horn, clock everything shuts down, battery dies and jumps start after 2 mins and car shuts off again for bout 3 miles replaced the alternator and has new battery, problem still not solved help me please???.

that's a really tough one to diag,especially over the net.check the battery cables and all grounds to be sure that they are tight,if so then you may have a short somewhere.
