egr vacuum pipe is broken

my pigtail that plugs to my egr sensor on my 01 cougar is melted is there any other car that the plugs will match up on cause i cant find one anywhere

The last version of the Cougar was based on the Ford Contour/Mondeo.

They probably share most of the same parts

My Dad and Mom have a '86 T-Bird its Mercury counterpart was a Cougar during adjacent years ('83-'86), I've snatched many a part off of them, at auto salvage yards to repair the T-Bird

Its just a vacuum hose elbow. go to a salvage yard and you will able to find an elbow, you can cut it. then splice it into the vacuum line. You may find the whole vacuum harness.
