Check engine light

The check engine light on my 2001 benz ml320 popped on but it runs fine althogh I havent noticed the radiator fans on at all, but it is coldweather here.

Hello,

The check engine light comes on when the vehicle's on-board diagnostics detect faults within the engine management system. It could be any number of sensors or parts. It can also be due to an emission issue.

What you need to do is to have the vehicle scanned and retrieve the code(s). This can help you determine what the issue might be.
