I have a 2001 Mazda Protege ES 2.0L. I changed the motor because when I bought the car I drove it for 3 weeks and the motor blew. Now after swapping motors, it feels like the car is missing, But I changed the plugs, and changed the coil packs when I bought the car. When it "misses" the car has a***** to it. What could this be?

It could be several things. Have you checked to see if there is a cylinder misfire? It may have low compression on one of the cylinders. It could be a timing issue too. Also, check to make sure the fuel pressure is within spec and there are no vacuum leaks. Finally, check to see if the catalytic converter is free and not plugging.

Cat if free, there isn't a code for misfire, compression test with spec before I put the motor in, no vacuum leaks, fuel pressure is with spec, if the time is off it is only off a degree or to, would being a degree or 2 off cause it to do this?
It also idles slightly rough
