head gasket was shaved down, replaced head gasket, intake gasket, spark plugs, water pump, thermostat, and the timing is set properly. the gas lines are not hooked up and we have no idea why gas is still getting in the head, is the engine screwed now?

you need to verify compression, spark and fuel delivery. you need all 3 to run.
