I have a V-6 2.5. I recently discovered that i had a vacuum leak after trying to discover why my engine was loping at idle. I discovered that the check valve and one of the vacuum chambers underneath the intake manifold had both had a nipple busted off them. i ran a new vacuum line bypassing the vacuum chambers and it is still loping at idle. is this because i'm bypassing the chambers? How important are these chambers?

You need to hook the vacuum line back up to the chambers
