I went to the store and bought a new battery and thyey gave me the worng one. I went back and got the right one but now the car wont start at all. I think is the alternator what should i do?

Is it cranking over and will not start or just won't crank at all/nothing when you turn key to run??

The car is not doing anything is completely dead is not making any noise at all. The lights wont even turn on and i just replaced the battery.
