I have tried all the published suggestions to reset and it is still not working. The car cranks but won't start. There's no fire or spark, no power to the fuel injector or fuel pump.

Hi,

Have you checked to see if there are diagnostic trouble codes stored? Is the immobilizer light staying on? Did this happen all at once?

What we really need to do is scan the can-bus. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, all the different computers/modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

There were problems with the body control module years back. But I believe that was causing a no-crank issue. The starter is working, correct?

Let me know.

Joe

The truck ran fine. We had a leaky head gasket after replacing it and reinstalling the battery. It would not start. I have checked and replaced the CPS I have checked all wires, fuses and grounds. I have power to the fuel pump and if jumped it runs and gets around 40-50 PSI. The relay is good. The only issue is that pin 86 has power on it from the ecu which is not letting the relay engage. I also have power to the fuel injection but no pulse to open the injectors. All of this has led me to the immobilizer. The light on the dash operates normally. You can lock it with the key fob. It flashes every two seconds when unlocked it turns off and doesn't flash. You can put the key in, and the starter turns over it will fire with starting fluid but as started the fuel pump will not pressurize and the injectors will not open. Until today there have been no codes. Now I have a p0600 may have been caused by disconnecting the computer to verify all connections were clean.

Hi,

When you say pin 86, I suspect that is the relay, correct? If the primary side of the relay is getting power and it won't actuate, have you confirmed ground on pin 85?

Take a look at pic 1 below. The fuel pump relay may be good, but there could be an issue with the air injection relay. Also, when you checked fuse 10, did you confirm there is power to and from it?

After reviewing your last post, I don't feel the issue is the anti-theft.

Let me know.
