I have went thru 4 starters within a year, something is frying them and my mechanic cant seem to find the problem, any suggestions

check the battery cables leading to the starter an dfor a loose ground. check batt to eng, batt to body and eng to body make sure all are clean. Also check for amissing heat shield.for starter.
