Why is my 2001 lincoln navigator oil light on?

Light came on when it reach that mile and its under low pressure..someone
said it's time to change oil every 3000 miles. Will i harm engine if i bring it to get oil change and will that fix it? I just got car

first thing to check is the oil level. if it is low it will cause the oil light to come one. when was the last time you had the oil replaced? it should get replaced every 3,000 miles along with the filter.
