My daughter has a 2001 Kia Sephia that squeals upon start up and all the way down the street as she leaves home. We have changed the belts and it seemed to stop for a very short time. I started looking on line and I see that this is a very common problem for all Kia models. There are a lot of forums out there but no one seems to have the answer. Any ideas?

it is the belts. you need to have the proper tightness of the belt to keep it from squealing.
