The battery will not stay charged in the Jeep, the alternator is good. Can there be a short somewhere?

2001 Jeep Wrangler. We put a fully charged battery in the jeep and it dies within a few hours. The alternator is good from shown testing from autozone. Can there be an electrical shortage somewhere causing the battery to not stay charged?

ROGER...

GOT A VOLTMETER? $5-$20 FOR A INEXPENSIVE DIGITAL ONE AT A PARTS STORE!

SET IT ON 12V DC(OR NEXT SETTING INCLUSIVE), TEST YOUR POS AND NEG BATTERY TERMINALS---WITH JEEP OFF

THEN FIRE HIM UP--EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO JUMP IT, REMOVE THE JUMPER CABLES....TEST AT BATTERY TERMINALS WHILE HE IS RUNNING

GIMME 2 RESULTS:

BATTERY-ENGINE OFF

BATTERY-ENGINE RUNNING

OR CAN YOU GET HIM TO THE PARTS STORE TO GET THESE TESTS DONE WITH YOUR JEEP ASSEMBLED?
