I replaced the crankshaft position sensor but it barely runs?

Not long enough to actually go anywhere and extremely rough. If I put the old one back in it will run. The reason I am replacing it is as soon as the car warms up the engine shuts off.

It sounds like you have a defective sensor here is the instructions on how to change it out in case you need it and I have seen this sensor cause the engine to stall when hot, so I think you are on the right track. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find.
