2001 Jaguar X Type Parking Brake Sensor On Dash Board Won T Out Took T Local

The parking brake sensor on the dash board won't go out. Took t to a local mechanic who changed brake fluid and checked brakes. Still the same problem.
Any ideas as to what's causing it?

could be fluid level in master or bad float, e brake switch or e brake is activated or hydraulic failure in the system
