My car spent most of its first year off the lot at the dealer. They couldn't figure it out until the very end, and it ended up being a very minute thing. Let me check my old shop records (gotta keep them all with this car) and I'll get back to you.

If texancatcher 14 can find his records concerning the fix for this problem, that would be great. I'm having the same difficulty with a 2001 Trooper I just purchase.

I would check , or get, the fuel pressure checked. There may be an intermittant problem with the fuel pump relay.
There also could be a problem with the fuel pump safety inertia switch. It cuts off fuel pump when in accident and sometimes they get too sensitive and fail intermittantly.

The next time your truck stalls, if it is possible to pull the plugs, do so. See if they are dry or wet with gas. If they are dry there is a fuel delivery problem,. If they are wet, there is an ignition problem.
